Rocketpants
Biography
Johnny RocketPants broke into the Seattle scene in Fall 2003 when notorious brothers, Jason and Scott Hill (each with a guitar in hand), teamed with long-time cohort Joel Flamme (and his fearless bass).  They set out to create melodic rock music that could make the pope cry and resurrect the spirits of your dead ancestors.  All that was missing was a time-keeping, skin-thrashing, stick-twirling powerhouse to drive the rock!  This spot could only be filled by Scott's long lost twin, Kim Tyburski.  Her drive, experience, and intimate knowledge of every song in the complete Iron Maiden catalog gave the band that final remaining spark to ignite the fires of rock!

In August of 2004, the band ventured to Portland, Oregon to record with infamous producer/engineer/music goddess, Nancy Hess at Lift Studios.  This site contains two recordings from that fateful session.  "Voices" features Jason on lead vocals and has a catchy chorus that can stick in your head for days.  "Pretty" features Joel on lead vocals and shows a grungier side of JRP.  The band is from Seattle, after all!

Scott
Scott
guitar, vocals
If Rock had a name...it would be Scott.  Okay, that's not true, it would probably be Angus or Yngwie. But Scott does love the Rock (so much that he insists the word be capitalized). He's played guitar for years with many people and in several bands and one thing remains true... playing music is the most fun and rewarding way to spend your time. When not strapped to his axe, Scott is a digital artist, photographer, gamer, tv-addict, movie buff, and Seattle-music enthusiast. Influential local favorites include The Screaming Trees, Super Deluxe, Sweet Water, Visqueen, Goodness, Dolour, Pris, ACS, Rotten Apples, Green Apple Quick Step, and Muzzle. ROCK!

Jason
Jason
guitar, vocals
Jason is an odd duck. He spends most of his time writing. Writing music, writing stories, writing scripts, writing bios for web pages, writing doodles on random pieces of paper... just writing. Oh, he also likes making things. Things like sculpture, and 3D models in Maya, and paintings, and board games, and just about anything else out there that you can make (brownies for instance). He is also a huge, huge dork. His favorite muppet is Beaker, his favorite Star Wars character is Nien Numb (if you know who that is, you may also be a dork), and he hates cooked vegetables of any kind. That just about covers it. Oh, oh - LOTR rules!

Kim
Kim
drums
What to say about Kim. Her last name contains many consonants and she's an expert smart ass. She tends to hit stuff with sticks, so being the opportunists that we are, we stuck drums in front of her and it worked out perfectly for our rhythm section. Kim grew up listening to "hair metal" of the 80s and yes, she too had long, feathered locks that required copious gallons of Aquanet and hours of curling iron time. Now she pretends to run a website design company in Seattle.

Joel
Joel
bass, vocals
At the tender age of fifteen, Joel dropped out of high school and joined "The Universal Church of Equity." When agents of the FBI burned their compound in upstate Wyoming to the ground, Joel was left homeless, and, having surrendered all of his worldly possessions to The Honorable Muhaffa al Saib, was penniless as well. He hitchhiked his way back to his hometown of Seattle, where he lived on the streets for years, making a living playing music on street corners with a stolen Xylophone. He met the other band members one day outside of a bar and convinced them he could play bass. They are still angry at him for his lie.
